Description
Low Temperature Freezing Test Chamber
Model: AFDW5030L
1. Purpose & Features
Suitable for low-temperature freezing tests and low-temperature storage of various products, including:
- Frost resistance test of pervious concrete pavement bricks
- Chemical / physical experiments
- Instruments, electrical appliances
- Low-temperature preservation of marine biological samples
- Low-temperature testing of building materials, etc.
The unit consists of a low-temperature compressor, condenser, filter, capillary tube, evaporator, thermostat tank, digital display meter, and digital temperature control system.
2. Technical Parameters
- Capacity: 30L
- Minimum temperature: -50℃
- Power supply: AC220V, 50Hz
- Temperature resolution: 0.1℃
- Ambient operating temperature: 0~23℃
- Relative humidity: ≤75%
3. Structural Features
- Opening mode: Side hinged door
- Insulation: Thickened insulation layer for excellent thermal retention
- Inner tank: Corrosion-resistant alloy plate
- Outer shell: High-quality steel plate
- Intermediate filler: Polyurethane insulation material
- Easy to operate, ideal for laboratory use
4. Notes
- Do not store or operate in damp environments or corrosive gas atmospheres.
- When starting for the first time or after long-term non-use, run the unit for 2 hours before testing to ensure accurate data.
- Turn off the power switch immediately in case of power failure; allow an interval of more than 30 minutes before restarting to avoid compressor damage.
- The unit must be supervised by personnel during laboratory operation.
- Prolonged operation when not in use is strictly prohibited.
- Tilt angle during transportation ≤45°; remove all packaging before use.
- Keep a distance of ≥50cm from the rear wall and ≥15cm from side walls. Place in a well-ventilated, dry area away from direct sunlight, water sources, heat sources, magnetic fields, and volatile/corrosive substances.
- Use an independent socket with current capacity ≥10A and reliable grounding.
- Applicable voltage: AC220~242V/50Hz. If voltage is unstable, install a voltage stabilizer of more than 5 times the input power, adjusted to 220V/50Hz/15A. The unit must be grounded.
5. Freezing Instructions
- Leave gaps between samples and between samples and the inner tank to ensure air circulation and uniform cooling.
- High-humidity or easy-dehydration samples must be wrapped in sealed food bags or plastic wrap to prevent frost buildup affecting cooling performance.
- Storage of volatile, flammable, explosive materials, strong acids, strong alkalis, gasoline, alcohol, etc., is strictly prohibited.
- Do not overload with excessive samples at one time to avoid slow cooling and continuous compressor operation.
- After testing, cut off power, remove samples, open the door for natural defrosting, drain water, and wipe the inner chamber dry with a soft cloth.
6. Operating Instructions
- Read the manual carefully before use.
Pre-operation Check
- Use an independent grounded power socket; ensure voltage 220~240V, frequency 49~51Hz.
- Confirm the panel switch is in OFF position.
Startup
Plug in the power, turn on the panel power switch; the display shows the internal temperature. The compressor will run after a time delay.
Operation
After the temperature reaches the set value, place samples evenly and gradually into the chamber.
Shutdown
First turn off the panel power switch (display off), then disconnect the external power supply.
7. Maintenance & Care
- Clean the inner chamber after each test. Disconnect power and remove items before cleaning; wipe off dirt and moisture.
- Do not use boiling water, acidic agents, or chemical thinners.
- Wipe dry after cleaning.
- Gently clean the door gasket with mild soapy water.
- Clean the outer shell with clean water or a small amount of neutral detergent; avoid wetting the power cord and lower wiring to prevent electric leakage.
8. Troubleshooting
- Indicator off, no display: Check power supply and plug.
- Indicator on, compressor not working but humming: Low voltage; install a stabilizer of more than 5 times input power.
- Compressor stops within 1 minute and restarts repeatedly: Abnormal voltage; handle as above.
- Compressor runs normally but cools slowly: Frequent/improper door closing; excessive or improperly placed samples; frost buildup inside.
- Excessive noise: Unstable placement; loose fasteners; contact between cooling tank and compressor.
