This incubator requires a dedicated AC 220V 50Hz power supply and ambient operating environment of +5 to 30°C. The unit must be installed with unobstructed air inlets and exhaust paths, and kept upright during transport with suitable lifting equipment.
- Power Supply Constraint: The chamber must be connected to a grounded AC 220V 50Hz power source capable of supplying 1700W.
- Environmental Temperature Constraint: With lighting active, the chamber can maintain 10–50°C; without lighting, 0–50°C, and the ambient working environment must be +5 to 30°C.
- Installation Space Constraint: The installation location must accommodate the external dimensions of 725 x 740 x 1550 mm with access for shelves, ports, and control interfaces.
- Ventilation Constraint: Air inlets and exhaust paths must remain unobstructed to ensure proper cooling and compressor operation.
- Handling and Transport Constraint: During unpacking and movement, the chamber must be kept upright and lifted using suitable equipment to prevent damage to internal components.
This procedure describes the initial setup, programming, and safe operation of the 250 L programmable light incubator. Follow these steps to ensure proper installation and avoid hazardous conditions.
Required Equipment: Programmable controller, Shelves
- Unpack
Inspect the packaging and use suitable lifting equipment to move the chamber upright to the installation location. - Install
Confirm that the installation space meets the external dimensions of 725 x 740 x 1550 mm and that the power supply is AC 220V 50Hz. - Position
Place the chamber with all air inlets, exhaust paths, shelves, ports, doors, and control interfaces accessible for operation and maintenance. - Connect
Connect the chamber to a dedicated, grounded AC 220V 50Hz power outlet capable of delivering 1700W. - Program
Program the controller to set temperature, light intensity, humidity, and time steps across up to 30 independent segments. - Load
Load samples onto the three shelves and close the door securely. - Initiate
Activate the unit and verify that the fault display, alarm indicators, and over-limit protection functions are operational.
Why does the temperature range differ between lighted and unlighted operation?
The temperature range narrows when lighting is active because the high-intensity lamps generate heat that must be managed by the cooling system. With lighting, the chamber maintains 10 to 50 °C; without lighting, it can reach 0 to 50 °C. This ensures stable conditions even under full illumination.
Does this incubator support CO2 monitoring and control?
The base configuration does not include CO2 control, but an optional infrared CO2 sensor and controller can be added for atmosphere management. This allows monitoring and regulation of CO2 levels for advanced plant growth or cultivation protocols.
How do the dual compressors improve reliability for long-term experiments?
The dual imported compressors with automatic alternating operation provide redundancy and balanced workload, reducing the risk of single-point failure during extended runs. If one compressor reaches its duty cycle or encounters an issue, the other takes over, helping maintain stable temperature for long-duration experiments.
The High-Intensity Programmable Light Incubator (250 L) delivers 0–12000 lx six-step adjustable lighting and dual alternating compressors for stable long-duration cultivation, but lacks active humidity control and requires a 1700 W, 220 V/50 Hz supply with a +5 to 30°C working environment.
Positive
- High-intensity programmable lighting: Six-step adjustable illumination from 0 to 12000 lx supports demanding plant growth and climate simulation protocols requiring repeatable light levels.
- Dual alternating compressors: Two imported compressors with automatic alternating operation enable stable long-duration low-temperature performance for extended cultivation or stability programs.
Trade-offs
- No active humidity control: The chamber does not include active humidity regulation; only ambient humidity deviation of ±5–7%RH is specified, limiting use in protocols requiring precise humidity.
- Infrastructure and power constraints: Requires a dedicated 1700 W, AC 220 V/50 Hz power supply and a working environment of +5 to 30°C, imposing specific installation and operating conditions.
