Product Overview

The ATOMFAIR® Double-Layer Flat-Plate Corrosion Test Cell is constructed from high-borosilicate glass and designed as a semi-sealed system for three-electrode corrosion testing applications. The cell accommodates flat sheet working electrodes with simple, tool-free sample installation and easy removal for convenient surface treatment. The side wall features a fixed-area circular opening (1cm², with custom sizes available upon request) with O-ring sealing. Electrical connection to the working electrode is achieved via a gold-plated copper sheet that presses directly against the sample, providing excellent corrosion resistance and reliable conductivity. The sample fixation bracket is manufactured from 316F stainless steel for both aesthetic appearance and corrosion resistance. A magnetic stirrer bar placement area is incorporated beneath the cylindrical cell body for improved diffusion and mass transport during experiments. The counter electrode is a 20×20mm platinum mesh electrode. A dedicated salt bridge is included for the reference electrode; for corrosion tests requiring chloride ion avoidance, the salt bridge can be filled with saturated potassium nitrate solution. The double-layer version incorporates a thermostatic water bath jacket for precise temperature control. A full PTFE version (500mL) and thermometer accessory are also available.
