Product Overview
|
| ATOMFAIR® Agate Planetary Ball Mill Jar is the national standard-designated grinding container for laboratory trace element analysis and high-purity sample preparation. Manufactured from imported natural SiO₂ Mohs 7 50ml-2L zero metal agate raw stone sourced from Brazil and Uruguay, each jar is carved from a single solid block of natural agate—completely free from bonding joints, impurity interlayers, or synthetic additives. This one-piece natural stone no metal contamination construction ensures absolute chemical inertness with zero metal ion release (no Fe, Cr, Ni, Zr, or Al) throughout the entire grinding process. Purpose-built for trace element analysis sample preparation in geological, environmental, and food testing applications, the jar is specified by national standards for XRF, ICP, and atomic absorption spectroscopy sample pretreatment—where even trace metal contamination would invalidate analytical data. With Mohs hardness 7, density approximately 2.65 g/cm³, and exceptional natural toughness, the polished non-stick interior resists material adhesion and enables simple cleaning between samples. The jar is resistant to most acids, alkalis, and organic solvents (HF prohibited). Standard configuration includes agate jar body + agate lid + corrosion-resistant silicone sealing gasket. Standard volumes from 50 ml to 2 L are available; custom non-standard volumes and dimensions upon request at inquiry@atomfair.com. |

Key Features & Advantages
|
- Absolute Zero Metal Contamination—National Standard for Trace Element Analysis: Contains absolutely no iron, chromium, nickel, zirconium, or aluminum metal elements. Designated by Chinese national standards as the grinding container for geological, environmental, and food testing—wear releases only trace silicon which is inherently present in most mineral and powder samples, ensuring trace element detection accuracy is never compromised.
- One-Piece Natural Agate Carved from Solid Raw Stone: Each jar is individually carved from a single block of imported Brazilian/Uruguayan natural agate—completely free from bonding joints, synthetic additives, or impurity interlayers—delivering unmatched chemical purity and structural integrity.
- Excellent Wear Resistance and Acid-Alkali Compatibility: Dense high-gloss natural texture resists wear from high-speed planetary grinding with minimal interior surface degradation. Compatible with acidic grinding media for long-term use (HF prohibited)—far surpassing metal jars that corrode and contaminate samples.
- Polished Non-Stick Interior with Simple Cleaning: The smooth polished interior surface resists material adhesion, enabling quick and thorough cleaning between different sample batches—eliminating cross-contamination risk in multi-sample analytical workflows.

APPLICATION SCOPE: Geological and environmental testing (primary application): rock, soil, ore, and sediment sample pretreatment for XRF, ICP, and atomic absorption spectroscopy trace element analysis—the national standard-designated grinding container. Biomedical and food testing: medicinal herbs, agricultural products, and health supplement粉碎 for heavy metal residue detection—absolutely eliminates metal impurity interference. Electronic and optoelectronic materials: high-purity silicon-based powders, specialty ceramics, and optoelectronic powder R&D. Chemical new materials: high-purity catalysts, non-metallic minerals, ceramic glaze slurries, and metal-free pigments. Archaeology, mineralogy, and research institute laboratory standard sample preparation. Supports dry grinding, wet grinding, and vacuum-sealed inert atmosphere grinding for oxidation-sensitive non-metallic powders.
SUPPLEMENTARY NOTES: Standard configuration includes agate jar body + agate lid + corrosion-resistant silicone sealing gasket. Non-standard volumes, custom outer diameter/height dimensions, and vacuum-sealed configurations are available upon request. Compatible with mainstream laboratory planetary ball mills.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Hydrofluoric acid (HF) is strictly prohibited—HF corrodes the SiO₂ matrix of natural agate. Avoid grinding materials with Mohs hardness >7 (e.g., corundum, silicon carbide) as these will cause excessive jar wear. Do not pair with high-hardness grinding balls (WC-Co, zirconia, alumina) that exceed the jar’s hardness—use agate grinding balls for homogeneous material matching to prevent jar wall damage. Avoid rapid thermal shock: direct water cooling after high-temperature grinding may cause stress cracking. Standard sizes are compatible with mainstream planetary ball mills; verify clamp dimensions for non-standard sizes before ordering. For custom specifications, contact us at inquiry@atomfair.com.
