Product Overview
Rechargeable lithium–sulfur (Li–S) batteries are recognized as one of the most promising next-generation energy storage systems, attributed to the low cost and high specific energy of sulfur cathodes. However, their commercialization is constrained by critical challenges: dissolution of lithium polysulfides (Li₂Sₓ, x>3) in electrolytes, significant volumetric expansion (80%) of sulfur during lithiation, and poor electronic/ionic conductivity of sulfur and lithium sulfide (Li₂S).
Atomfair’s mesoporous nano carbon is engineered to address these pain points. With its large specific surface area, ordered pore structure, excellent electrical conductivity, and structural stability, it effectively enhances sulfur utilization, inhibits polysulfide diffusion, and improves the overall cycling performance and reliability of Li–S batteries.
