3. Core Performance Parameters

3.1 Temperature Performance

  • Maximum Operating Temperature: The normal operating temperature can reach 800℃ (must be used in compliance within this temperature range)
  • Thermal Stability: Sensitive to temperature changes; the rate of temperature change must be strictly controlled to avoid structural damage caused by thermal shock

3.2 Chemical Compatibility

  • Suitable Systems: Resistant to most acidic media and molten acidic substances (e.g., sample melting experiments using K₂S₂O₇ as flux), compatible with acidic experimental systems
  • Prohibited Systems:
    • Forbidden to be used in melting reactions of alkaline substances such as NaOH, Na₂O₂ and Na₂CO₃
    • Strictly prohibited from contacting hydrofluoric acid (HF) to avoid chemical corrosion

3.3 Structural Characteristics

  • Dense material with moderate mechanical strength
  • Some models have a certain water absorption capacity; drying treatment is required before use

4. Usage Specifications and Operation Points

4.1 Temperature Control Requirements

  • Heating Rate: It is recommended to control the rate at 5-10℃/min; heat up gradually to avoid crucible cracking due to uneven thermal expansion caused by sudden temperature rise
  • Cooling Process: After heating, the crucible must not be placed on cold desktops, concrete platforms or metal surfaces immediately. It should be placed on firebricks or asbestos sheets for slow cooling to prevent cracking caused by sudden cooling.

4.2 Chemical Compatibility Requirements

  • Strictly comply with the requirements of “suitable systems” and “prohibited systems”; forbidden to be used in alkaline or hydrofluoric acid environments

4.3 Cleaning and Weighing Specifications

  • Cleaning Method: For conventional contamination, clean by boiling with dilute hydrochloric acid (HCl), and dry thoroughly after cleaning
  • Weighing Process:
    1. Before Use: Dry strictly at 105-110℃, cool down and weigh accurately with an analytical balance
    1. Sample Treatment: For analytes that need to be filtered with ashless filter paper, the filter paper and sample can be placed into the crucible together
    1. Post-High-Temperature Treatment: After high-temperature treatment, place the crucible and its contents in a special desiccator to cool to room temperature before subsequent weighing
    1. Operation Specification: Use clean crucible tongs to hold the crucible throughout the process; avoid direct contact with hands to prevent contamination

4.4 Restrictions on Applicable Heating Equipment

  • This product is only suitable for compatible equipment such as special high-temperature furnaces. Direct heating with alcohol lamps, electric stoves or torches is prohibited.
  • No after-sales service will be provided for crucible cracking caused by non-compliant use.
