Product Overview

The ATOMFAIR® Double-Layer Traditional Five-Port Electrolytic Cell is constructed from high-borosilicate glass and designed as a semi-sealed system for three-electrode applications. The cell body is sealed against the inverted conical PTFE lid via ground glass joints, while electrode ports achieve sealing through compression fittings with O-rings. The cell is equipped with a salt bridge that positions the reference electrode in close proximity to the working electrode, effectively reducing solution resistance. An F-type gas inlet tube allows gas purging both above and below the liquid surface – during experiments, only overhead purging should be maintained. This cell is compatible with extended-length electrodes (must be ordered separately). A miniature version (5–25mL) with pointed-bottom design is also available. The double-layer version incorporates a thermostatic water bath jacket for precise temperature control. Please note: this semi-sealed system is not compatible with rotating disk electrodes; in such cases, increase overhead gas flow for atmosphere protection.
