Scintillator-Based Linear Arrays – For Baggage Inspection, Container Scanning & Industrial NDT

Overview Scintillator-based linear arrays are core components in high-throughput imaging systems, widely used in baggage inspection, container scanning, and industrial non-destructive testing (NDT). By utilizing premium scintillation materials—including BGO, LYSO, CsI, and GAGG—these arrays efficiently convert X-rays and gamma rays into measurable light signals, enabling clear, high-contrast imaging of concealed objects or internal structural defects. Our linear arrays are customizable to your system requirements, with options for pixel size, spacing, and reflective layers (e.g., BaSO₄). Engineered for uniformity across pixels and arrays, they deliver consistent performance in demanding environments—from busy airport security checkpoints to industrial quality control lines.

Description

Key Advantages
High Light Output
Leverages high-performance scintillators (LYSO, GAGG, CsI, BGO) with strong photon emission, ensuring robust signal-to-noise ratios for clear imaging even with low-dose radiation.
Superior Sensitivity
Optimized for detecting weak X-ray/gamma ray signals, enabling identification of small or low-density objects (e.g., electronic devices in luggage or micro-cracks in industrial components).
Excellent Energy Resolution
Precisely distinguishes between radiation energies, supporting multi-energy imaging modes to differentiate material compositions (e.g., organic vs. metallic substances).
Customizable Design
Offers customization of pixel size (min. 0.2×0.2 mm), spacing (min. 0.06 mm), and reflective layers (BaSO₄, TiO₂, etc.) to match spatial resolution and energy range requirements of different scanning systems.
Stable Performance
All scintillators undergo grinding/polishing, with uniform reflective layer coverage, ensuring consistent pixel-to-pixel response and reducing imaging artifacts.
Technical Specifications
The scintillators BGO, LYSO, CsI, and GAGG all feature a surface treatment of Ground/Polished. For reflective layer options, BGO and LYSO offer BaSO₄, ESR, E20, and E60L, while CsI and GAGG provide TiO₂, BaSO₄, ESR, and E60. In terms of minimum pixel size, BGO and LYSO have a size of 0.2×0.2 mm, whereas CsI and GAGG have a minimum pixel size of 0.4×0.4 mm. Additionally, the minimum pixel spacing for BGO and LYSO is 0.06, 0.08, and 0.2 mm, while that for CsI and GAGG is 0.08, 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3 mm.
