NEPEM Proton exchange membrane for PEMWE

Regarding the ThinkreT™ Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) tailored for Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis (PEMWE) application scenarios, it can be categorized into two major series: The 11X Series PEM, specifically engineered for industrial – scale hydrogen production purposes. The 11X W Series PEM, designed targeting the hydrogen health – related application sphere. Our company’s proton exchange membrane, dedicated to electrolytic water systems, exhibits prominent characteristics, including high proton conductivity, low gas permeability (encompassing both hydrogen and oxygen crossover mitigation), and excellent high – pressure resistance performance. All these features are crucial for stable and efficient PEMWE operations in diverse research…

NEPEM Proton Exchange Membrane for PEMWE

Tailored for Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis (PEMWE), the NEPEM Proton Exchange Membrane offers scenario-specific solutions. It splits into two series: the 11X Series, engineered for large-scale industrial hydrogen production, and the 11X W Series, designed for hydrogen-related health applications. Boasting high proton conductivity to ensure efficient ion transport, low gas permeability (minimizing H₂ and O₂ crossover), and strong high-pressure resistance, this membrane delivers reliable, stable performance across diverse PEMWE research and industrial setups.

Measurement Notes:

  1. Measurements were taken with the membrane conditioned at 23 °C and 50% relative humidity (RH).
  2. Conductivity measurements were performed at 23 °C and 100% relative humidity (RH).
  3. A base titration procedure is used to determine the equivalents of sulfonic acid groups in the polymer resin, which is then applied to calculate the acid capacity or equivalent weight of the membrane.
  4. Dissolved hydrogen concentration was measured using a hydrogen-rich water test pen (ENH-1000 Portable Dissolved Hydrogen Meter), based on the principle of oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) in the solution to calculate the dissolved hydrogen concentration.
  5. Water content of the membrane (dry weight basis) was determined with the membrane conditioned at 23 °C and 50% relative humidity (RH).
  6. Water uptake (dry weight basis) was measured by conditioning the dry membrane in water at 100 °C for 1 hour.
