Product Features
Boron trioxide is a research-grade functional powder with stable physical and chemical properties:
- Solubility: Soluble in hot water, slightly soluble in cold water; forms orthoboric acid in water and volatile metaboric acid in hot steam environment;
- Melting Characteristics: Molten state can dissolve various metal oxides to form borosilicate glass;
- Reducibility: Alkali metals, magnesium, and aluminum can reduce it to elemental boron;
- High-Purity Preparation: Produced through recrystallization, ion exchange, membrane separation and other processes to ensure extremely low impurity content.
Research Application Fields
- Flux for silicate decomposition;
- Dopant for semiconductor materials;
- Acidic catalyst for organic synthesis;
- Fire-resistant additive for paints;
- Raw material for boron compounds;
- Liquid encapsulant for the preparation of Ⅲ~Ⅴ group compound semiconductors (e.g., gallium arsenide, gallium phosphide), suitable for high-end optoelectronic research scenarios such as LED substrate materials.
Packaging & Storage
- Packaging Form: Inert gas-filled plastic bag packaging (bulk packaging available on demand);
- Storage Conditions: Seal and store in a dry, cool environment; avoid exposure to air to prevent moisture absorption and agglomeration, which may affect dispersibility and usage effect.
