Application

1,2-Bis(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyhydrocinnamoyl)hydrazine is primarily used as a stabilizer in polyethylene, polypropylene, and other polyolefins to extend their service life by preventing oxidative degradation. It is also effective in rubber and elastomer applications, where it protects against heat aging and metal-catalyzed oxidation. The compound’s metal deactivating properties make it ideal for wire and cable coatings exposed to copper or other reactive metals.
