Atomfair IR-Oil 750 is a professional instrument engineered for measuring oil, petroleum hydrocarbons, and animal/vegetable oils in water, adhering to international detection standards. Working Principle
Based on the principle of “like dissolves like”, oil substances in water are extracted into tetrachloroethylene, and oil measurement is achieved after oil-water separation. After oil substances pass through a magnesium silicate adsorption column, petroleum hydrocarbon measurement can be completed. Oil substances exhibit absorption characteristics at wave numbers of 2930cm⁻¹ (stretching vibration of C-H bonds in CH₂ groups), 2960cm⁻¹ (stretching vibration of C-H bonds in CH₃ groups), and 3030cm⁻¹ (stretching vibration of C-H bonds in aromatic hydrocarbons). The instrument utilizes the absorption and conversion of spectral energy to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of oil substances.
